Google updated Stitch, a free tool that allows users to describe an app in words and generates finished-looking UI screens with multiple pages at once, including voice-to-design capabilities.

Google Stitch is connected to coding tools, ensuring that the designs it generates are buildable and eliminating the need for exporting to Figma.

The Google Stitch design agent holds the entire project context, including all screens, decisions, and reference material, and reasons across it when users request changes or edits.

The March 2026 update to Google Stitch introduced "vibe design," allowing users to describe business objectives or user feelings in natural language to generate multiple high-fidelity UI directions and up to five screens simultaneously.

The design.markdown file export from Google Stitch provides a full agent-readable file that captures a project's design system, including colors, typography, and component patterns, and can be extracted from any URL.

The current pipeline allows users to design a business objective with Stitch, generate UI, and then a coding agent reads the design.markdown file to start building directly, eliminating Figma export or handoff documents.
